Welcome! The Planning Committee for La Cosecha 2010 invites you to share your teaching strategies and dual language expertise with your colleagues by presenting at La Cosecha 2010. the planning committee is seeking classroom teachers to share instructional best practices for conference attendees.
The 15th Annual La Cosecha Dual Language Conference will take place November 17-20, 2010 at the Sweeney Convention Center and La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
- Receive notification of proposal status via e-mail by June 15, 2010
- Receive ONE exclusive complimentary registration for the Lead Presenter listed on the proposal form (limit ONE complimentary registration per Lead Presenter). This registration is provided to support the Lead Presenter and is NOT transferrable.
Please note: Co-Presenters must submit a conference registration form AND pay the appropriate registration rates.
Workshop Proposal Submission Guidelines
La Cosecha 2010 Conference Presentations will align with the seven Strands of the Guiding Principles for Dual Language Education document.
To assist you in aligning your proposal with the "Guiding Principles for Dual Language Education", please see the list of document strands and guiding principles.
Proposals should:
- Specifically address dual language education
- Align with the Guiding Principles for Dual Language Education
- Include an outline of the presentation (including time increments)
- Have a duration of 1.5 hours
- Respond to a need or interest of classroom teachers
- Consist of hands-on activities, lecture, demonstration, and/or discussion
Important Notes: La Cosecha does not accept Commercial Presentations
We do not accept proposals from companies, organizations, or individuals who wish to demonstrate a product or service that is available for sale.
Sponsorship Exception
- Coral Level sponsors recieve one commercial presentation.
- Lapis Level sponsors receive two commercial presentations.
- Turquoise level sponsors receive three commercial presentations.

Deadline for Submission
Submissions after the deadline will be considered on a space-available basis but may not appear in the conference registration or promotional materials.
All proposals will be evaluated by the Proposal Selection Committee (comprised of dual language educators) and not all proposals will be accepted.
Historically La Cosecha has received more proposals than we have been able to accept.
